Best Antique Store – Uncle Tom’s Antique Mall

The thing about antique stores is, I can lose hours in them. I can wander into a little hole in the wall and before I know it, I’ve spent 45 minutes working my way through one aisle.

So pardon me if I find Uncle Tom’s Antique Mall a little daunting.

Tom’s is 8000 square feet of treasures. They have chairs, records, lamps, mirrors, glassware, toys, hats, desks. Chests, bureaus, tools and pretty much anything you could think of, and a lot of stuff you would never think of.

Kim Harlicker and her dad Tom Stockwell opened the store 24 years ago. Stockwell is a certified personal property appraiser, and Harlicker very clearly knows what she’s looking at as well.

They will buy entire estate sales or make shrewd offers on full car loads of stuff people bring them, just to get the best items.

Over the years, they’ve diversified, as well, becoming Harman Stove dealers and purveyors of rock tumblers. It all fits into the philosophy of finding the best, most interesting things out there and offering them to the public.

So, don’t let the 8000 square feet of showroom scare you. Just block out a day, head over to Owantonna, and check out Uncle Tom’s Antique Mall.

Uncle Tom’s Antique Mall is located on old MN Hwy 14, in Owatonna, just 3/4 mile west of I-35, off of Exit #42
